Tell POP VIP about every destination before accepting a quote. The website advertises private journeys to a confirmed hotel or villa; selecting one hotel in the form does not confirm several hotel drop-offs. Ask for separate direct transfers, or ask whether a combined itinerary can be accommodated and quoted. Do not assume that additional destinations are included. The useful starting point is the complete journey your group needs—not simply the fact that you share a flight.
List every hotel before choosing an arrangement
Create a destination list showing who is travelling to each property. For every hotel or villa, include:
- The exact property name and address.
- The passengers travelling there, including children and infants.
- Their suitcases, cabin bags and equipment.
- Requested child seats or assistance.
- Any entrance or access information the property has supplied.
Use the hotel transfer directory to resolve uncertain names. A broad description such as ‘a hotel in Puerto Plata’ does not identify the final entrance. If one party is staying at an unlisted villa, include its address rather than substituting a nearby hotel.
The same fare zone does not mean the same itinerary
Two hotels can appear under the same destination zone while remaining separate drop-off addresses. For example, the website groups properties under Playa Dorada / Costa Dorada. That zone classification helps identify published destination fares. It does not, on its own, confirm a journey visiting every property in the area.
Do not select one hotel, divide its displayed estimate between two families and assume both destinations are covered. Send both properties and ask for the complete arrangement. If dispatch confirms a combined journey, the written reply should identify all agreed destinations.
Compare separate transfers with a proposed combined itinerary
There are two arrangements worth discussing. Separate transfers may suit parties that want independent journeys or have substantially different requirements. Each party can review a direct transfer to its own accommodation.
- Separate direct transfers: confirm each party’s vehicle, destination, meeting instructions and complete price.
- A proposed combined itinerary: confirm whether it is available, all destinations, vehicle suitability, planned drop-off sequence and complete price.
A combined itinerary is worth asking about only when everyone understands the proposed journey and POP VIP confirms that it can be accommodated. Sharing a flight is not confirmation that one vehicle or one booking is suitable.
Travelling with friends as one private party is also different from buying seats on a shared shuttle. Be clear about the arrangement you are requesting.
Check the full load and the final drop-off
If one vehicle is being considered, describe everyone and everything that would leave the airport together. The vehicle must be reviewed against the combined passenger and luggage requirements at the start of the journey—not just the smaller load remaining after the first hotel.
Consult the vehicle guidance, then provide the actual bags, equipment and seat requests for confirmation. Do not treat a passenger-capacity label as proof that every luggage combination fits.
Also ask dispatch to confirm the planned drop-off sequence and its effect on the last party’s journey. Avoid promising friends a particular arrival time or assuming that their hotel will be first. Agree which bags belong to each party so the intended luggage leaves the vehicle at the correct property.
Compare complete quotes, not a divided headline fare
Use the published transfer prices as a reference for destination services, then request a quote for the actual itinerary. If both arrangements are available, compare:
- The complete price for the proposed combined journey.
- The complete prices for the separate journeys.
- The vehicles and passenger groups covered.
- Every destination and requested extra.
- The agreed payment arrangement.
A lower-looking number is not a useful comparison if it describes fewer destinations or a different vehicle arrangement.
If friends intend to divide the cost, agree that among yourselves and confirm the provider’s payment arrangement separately. A private agreement to split expenses does not establish separate billing or an additional destination entitlement.
Plan the return journeys separately
The airport arrival arrangement does not automatically settle the departure plan. Guests may leave on different flights, change hotels or need collection from different addresses. Even when everyone has the same flight home, do not assume the arrival route will simply run in reverse.
When requesting arrival and return transfers, list the departure flight, local date and pickup property for each party. Ask POP VIP to confirm the collection arrangement and timing for the journeys actually needed. Keep each confirmed movement clearly identified so guests follow the instructions for their own hotel.
Send one complete request
Use this outline to explain the situation. If the booking form shows only one destination estimate, make the other destinations explicit in your enquiry and request a written review. Do not treat that single-destination estimate as the final multi-hotel quote.
We are arriving together at POP but staying at different properties.
Arrival flight and local date: [details].
Property A: [exact name and address], with [passengers, luggage and requested seats].
Property B: [exact name and address], with [passengers, luggage and requested seats].
Other requirements: [equipment, assistance or access information].
Travelling contact: [name and reachable number].
Please quote separate direct transfers. If a combined itinerary is available, please also confirm its vehicle, destinations, planned drop-off sequence and complete price.
Return journeys, if required: [flight, local date, pickup property and party for each movement].
An enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Before travelling, make sure every party understands which arrangement has been accepted, where they are going and which instructions apply.
