Amber Cove is associated with the Maimón area, while Taíno Bay is in Puerto Plata. They are not interchangeable pickup labels. Ask the cruise provider to confirm the terminal for your sailing or port call, then review the corresponding POP VIP route rather than selecting the nearest familiar hotel zone.
Agree a meeting point that everyone can use
Cruise passengers, non-cruise visitors and drivers may have different access permissions. Confirm the authorized location with the port or cruise provider. If friends are arriving by air to meet passengers ashore, choose a place that is reachable by both groups rather than assuming entry inside the terminal.
Treat the ship timetable as a separate constraint
A flight's scheduled landing time is not the time guests will be outside POP. Allow for airport procedures and the road journey, and check the ship's relevant deadline directly. Dispatch can assess the transfer request but cannot hold a ship or waive port rules.
Review both directions after any change
Send a changed port call, flight or ship itinerary to the team. If the cruise does not call as planned, a road booking needs review rather than automatic substitution. Keep the latest contact details with every person who must meet the vehicle.
