Use the airline for flight operation and replacement arrangements, and official authorities for safety instructions. POP VIP reviews the road journey. A transfer confirmation cannot establish that an airport will stay open, a road will remain passable or an onward service will operate.
Send confirmed changes rather than rumours
Share the new flight number, airport, local date and accommodation when they are known. Explain whether the group still travels together. Several speculative messages are less useful than one clear current itinerary, followed by another update if the airline changes it again.
Reconsider tightly connected plans
A boat departure, cruise meeting or separate flight may no longer fit after disruption. Check that service directly before confirming the revised road leg. Extra driving time alone cannot solve an unavailable connection, and dispatch should not be asked to make an unsafe itinerary workable by promising a faster journey.
Keep the return and accommodation informed
If travel dates move, check the departure pickup as well as the arrival. Make sure the property can receive you at the revised time and that gate or reception instructions remain usable. Save the latest confirmations and keep a working contact number with the travelling group.
