Decide which number the team should use
A travel eSIM may provide data while your WhatsApp account remains linked to another number. Confirm which account you can actually access. If the person booking is not travelling, supply a reachable contact for the arriving group as well.
Test the essentials before boarding
Check device compatibility, activation requirements and coverage with your provider. Charge the phone and keep the transfer confirmation available without a network connection. Avoid assuming a plan will activate automatically at landing or that the same settings work on every phone.
Have a fallback that does not depend on a new purchase
Save the dispatch contact, booking name and meeting instructions in advance. Another adult in the group can keep a copy. If you cannot connect at POP, ask airport staff about a staffed place to seek assistance rather than leaving the agreed area to search for mobile service.
Use the connection to clarify, not expose documents
When dispatch asks where you are, a short location description can be enough. Keep passport images and payment credentials out of general arrival messages. Send itinerary changes promptly so the team can work from the flight you will actually arrive on.
Send the flight, get the price in writing
Hotel name, flight number, date and party size. We reply with the fixed rate, track the flight and meet you inside arrivals with a name sign. Pay the driver on arrival.
Book on WhatsAppQuestions we get on this
- Is airport Wi-Fi guaranteed?
- Do not build the pickup plan around that assumption. Save the details offline and arrange a fallback.
- Can I change the WhatsApp contact?
- Tell POP VIP before travel and confirm that the arriving traveller can access the replacement number.
