Separate the airport from the road
The transfer drive begins after you have completed the arrival process and met the driver. Disembarking, immigration, collecting luggage and customs happen first. Their duration depends on the day and your circumstances. Avoid scheduling a meal, activity or onward departure by simply adding the road estimate to the aircraft's scheduled landing time.
Check which side of POP you are travelling toward
Playa Dorada and Puerto Plata city lie on a different side of the airport from Sosúa and Cabarete. A north-coast description is not a precise address. Choose the correct hotel suggestion or send a map pin so the team can review the destination, entrance and relevant fare zone before travel.
Account for the last part of the journey
A resort entrance, private-community gate and villa door may be different meeting points. Security registration and internal roads can affect arrival at the accommodation even after the main drive is complete. Share the guest name, villa number and host instructions when requesting POP VIP, particularly if your booking confirmation uses a different property name.
Plan departures in reverse
Start with the airline's required airport arrival time, then allow for the journey, property exit and an appropriate buffer. Do not use a driving estimate as the hotel pickup time. POP VIP confirms the collection arrangement in writing; revisit it if the flight, address or transport requirements change.
