Check the complete connection from arrival procedures at POP to the onward airline's requirements at STI. Ask the airlines about ticket protection and baggage, then ask POP VIP to review the road leg. A private vehicle cannot hold an aircraft or turn an unworkable itinerary into a protected connection.
Decide what the airline bookings actually protect
Before committing to the itinerary, ask whether the flights are on one protected booking or on separate reservations, and what happens after a missed connection. Use the operating airlines' own answers rather than assuming all tickets work alike. Keep those conditions with the itinerary. POP VIP's road-transfer confirmation establishes a transport arrangement; it does not alter airline rebooking rights or transfer responsibility for the onward ticket to the driver.
Place airport tasks before the road leg
Account for leaving the aircraft, completing the applicable arrival process, retrieving bags and reaching the confirmed meeting point. Assistance and a baggage problem can also affect readiness. Do not count the flight's landing time as the instant the car can leave POP. Tell dispatch about the actual luggage and passenger needs so the loading and vehicle arrangement can be reviewed alongside the route.
Give the onward flight its full departure allowance
Start from when the onward airline requires you to be at STI, including any document, check-in, bag-drop and boarding deadlines. Add the road journey and a realistic allowance for uncertainty without shrinking those requirements. If the itinerary has little room for a delay, compare a later onward flight or an overnight arrangement separately. There is no universal connection time that this article can safely approve for every booking.
Keep bags and vehicle requirements visible
Ask the airlines what must happen to checked baggage between the bookings and confirm the next flight's allowance for sports equipment or other bulky items. Send POP VIP the current passenger and luggage details. The destination is the relevant airport at STI, not simply a hotel in Santiago. A vehicle category or a published city fare should not be substituted for a reviewed airport-to-airport itinerary.
Agree what happens if the inbound plan changes
If the airline issues another flight, send the replacement airport, flight number and local date to dispatch. Contact the onward carrier too. Tracking an inbound flight does not guarantee that a separate departure remains reachable. Ask the team to confirm the revised road arrangement and any quote change, rather than assuming the original booking automatically covers a different arrival or an extended stop.
Request a written plan for the whole group
Provide both airline itineraries, the travelling contact, all bags, requested child seats and any access requirements. Ask for confirmation of the POP meeting, STI destination and the agreed scope of the road leg. Arrange any overnight accommodation separately. Keep the latest information available to the travelling guests so a coordinator elsewhere is not the only person who knows the plan when the flight lands.
